dear all

any one can help me in this problem

we made a modification in a weigh feeder of iron ore in cement plant to be as a slag weigh feeder by changing the motor by a bigger one and some parameters in the controller but we faced two problems

1- the current of the is very high and always tripped due to overload

2- very big error in the actual weight compared to the counted weight reached to 100 %

so if any one can suggest a causes for these problems

thanks

I do not know this feeder, but I presume it is a weigh belt feeder.

So you have increased the capacity 4 times over the original. I presume you increased the motor power also by 4 times although you have not given this information.

But on any motor if the amps are too high then the motor is too small for the duty expected of it.
