Re: Small Bucket Elevator
You might be better off looking at a vertical screw conveyor with a top hydrualic motor drive rather than a bucket elevator.
The buckets need a boot to come around the tail shaft. The screw could pick up much closer to the floor.
I am assuming this is for a road spreader. Use a hydraulic motor driven by a PTO from the vehicle to meter the flow based on vehicle speed. The level in the truck will not matter as the output would be regulated by vehicle RPM. ■

Re: Small Bucket Elevator
Thanks,
I have given some thought to a screw conveyor.
I will look in to this idea a little more! ■
Re: Small Bucket Elevator
How many ton/hr are you looking at? ■
Re: Small Bucket Elevator
Around 6 tons per hour ■
Small Bucket Elevator
Hi,
There is no problem supplying a 'Z shaped' 5' ( 1524mm ) bucket elevator.
We can supply units with a total height of around 1300mm in this format with a flow rate of around 12m3 per hour which should be ok for your 6 tons of sand.

Small Bucket Elevator
I was wondering if a 5' axle distance bucket elevator is possible?
If so How would I combat wear.
Is there a way to meter the product (wet sand) if it's almost completly covering the system.
I have attach a file that migh better show the details.
