Re: Hardfacing Table Liners Of Vertical Roller Mills
Pls contact
Welding Alloys / Soudage - French
Specialised Welding Products - Australia
There is also a German company
All of these supply welding consumables and some do the works themselves.
Thanks

I have a problem regarding the hardfacing of roll table liners and wear segments of MPS vertical roller mills. The mill is being used for grinding of limestone mainly at a rate of 215 tonnes per hour. I would be thankful if anyone can tell me which type (composition) of hardfacing to use to reduce the wear rate. It will be of great help if the information regarding the company that does the hardfacing or the composition and process of hardfacing can be elaborated.
Also I would be thankful if any one can suggest me the new ways of maintenance of Vertical roller mills.
thanks in advance
Arun
Do not forget you are crushing one material against the other and wear will always occur.
Perhaps you should look at your tertiary crushing/grinding circuit and think about a cetrifugual crusher such as Spokane crusher for example. They use them in asphault sand service and secondary crushing as well in mobile and stationary applications. ■

Re: Hardfacing Table Liners Of Vertical Roller Mills
Dear Arun,
Fitting new castings can be a economic solution with buy back option for scrap.
Please let me know of your requirement to enable me to give you techno-commercial viable alternative to weld overlay.

Hard Facing Of Vertical Rollers
The liners can be hard faced one by workhardening types of electrodes where the hardness go on increasing while it is in working condition. The layers should not be in one lines. It should be criss crossed. Perhaps we can give a better idea of hard facing if you can provide me a sketch indicating the actual place where wear is taking place.
Also please tell us whether the liners are sujected to temperature and is so at what temp? ■
Re: Hardfacing Of Table Liners Of A Vertical Roller Mill
For table liners Our product Ferrowear ultime a welding electrode is used for making buttons. It has given a tremendous life in Ambuja Rajasthan coz the product has got Boron which gives very high hardness. The alloy % in the electrode goes beyond 47%

Re: Hardfacing Table Liners Of Vertical Roller Mills
Dear Arun:
I recomend thinking in a Complex Cr Carbide alloy or a TiC carbide applied by Open Arc process. Electrodes for this application only if is for minor repairs.
Some companies also have segments ( generally in Ni-Hard ) that could be applied to the table. Less time to apply but the wear resistance is not so good.
Contact me (eutecsol@iol.pt) if needed some alloys and procedures. Its better if you got a drawing with the dimensions.
Best Regards:
