Excessive FINES in OVERSIZE?

Posted in: , on 20. Jan. 2005 - 03:43

EXCESSIVE fines in your oversize material???

VSMA TROUBLESHOOTING TIP:

Possible Cause: Material travel rate TOO FAST

Possible Remedy: Reduce screen angle or run Counter-flow

PC: Improper distribution of feed material

PR: Modify the feed to spread material out to sides better

PC: Excessive FEED = Material too deep to allow fines removal

PR: Reduce FEED = Material has a chance to get out of thin bed

PC: Unit operating out of balance = erratic feed

PR: Restore balance = controlled feed

PC: Excessive throw for opening in media (wirecloth etc)

PR: Adjust speed/throw to deck opening = keep mtl lower on deck

Thick/THIN/Fast/Slow.........lots of variables to keep us on our toes in vibrating screen applications. Keep shakin' out there. Always debatable and never black and white.
