I think that at the moment designing a belt conveyor is beyond your capabilities.
Rather than keep asking questions here buy the CEMA publication "BELT CONVEYORS FOR BULK MATERIALS", read it, understand it then start designing belt conveyors.

I would also suggest something more modest to start with than a 1km long machine. ■

It is a puzzle how you came to know so much from so little.
I agree with Designer's wise words.
Guessing at all information not given you might need 10 kW with a belt peak running tension = 6.5 kN. ■

System design result
I design the following system:
Mass: 2500 tonne/day
belt velocity: 1.75 m/sec
width: 500 mm.
distance 1 km.
total tension: 1960 lb
power: 0.34 HP
This is the first system that I design, but Im not very sure about that power, I was expecting a something a little higher for such a distance.
