What is the proven design method for Idler Frames. I was informed that we have to consider the dynamic loading factor of upto 1.2 to 1.25 the load calculated.
Moreover I was asked to calcuate the efect of the self weight of the member as also the force exerted by the side idler on the inner brackets.
the normal method adopted by me hitherto was of a simply supported Beam design and for Impact a dynamic loading factor was included taking care of the impact load. Is there any specific standard for working out the design.
