Currently a vertical multi-purpose dryer has just been delivered and successfully put into operation for different APIs. The processing of highly active products requires containment measures by the customer (protection of the operating staff). The design of the dryer should support these measures.
The product is directly charged into the dryer and then heated under vacuum. After a certain product temperature is exceeded, contained solvent begins to evaporate.
The dryer operates on the principle of the contact heat transfer, i.e., the energy input or output indirectly takes place via the double-walled vessel shell. The agitator, also heated, designed with short distance to the vessel wall, ensures a close contact with the product to the heated surfaces and thereby enhances the heat transfer. As a result of permanent product circulation, we maintain homogeneous product properties (moisture, temperature) in the vessel area.

Special feature: The mixer meets the highest requirements for safety at work, since emissions can be avoided through the fully automatic shutter system for the dryer vessel as well as the complex docking system for the product charging and discharging.
