THREE OF FIVE TEMCOR DOMES FOR HYUNDAI STEEL ARE COMPLETE

Temcor's Largest Project in 45 Years Nearing Completion

GARDENA, CA June 10, 2009 –When complete, Hyundai Steel's newest plant being built in Dangin, South Korea will include five Temcor bulk storage domes. Three of the domes are now in place. The project represents one of Temcor's largest contracts in its 45-year history.

To date, Temcor has designed, manufactured and erected two 120 m diameter iron ore storage domes and one 130m dome for iron ore blending. Remaining are one 130 m and one 120 m domes.

"Hyundai had a very specific timeline for us to complete our portion of the plant," said Clark Margolf, Executive V.P. at Temcor. "We're proud to say that we have beat that timeline, while other areas of the project have experienced delays." When fully operational in 2010, the plant is expected to produce eight millions tons of steel per year. Dangjin is approximately 123 km south of Seoul.

Temcor's unique Center Tower Erection method helped them complete the construction of the domes quickly. Each dome was given an erection schedule of 5 months, however Temcor ships the domes ready-to-assemble and, the erection method shaves weeks off traditional scaffold erection times. Installation of each dome was done in less than three months. Additionally, the domes are erected with smaller crews than are required for other methods.

Erection of the final two domes is scheduled for fall 2009. "I have no doubt that we'll be able to beat the erection schedule for these domes as well," continued Margolf.

All five domes were custom-designed to accommodate stacker-reclaimer systems and other equipment. Manufacturing is done at Temcor's facility Rincon, Georgia facility.

Temcor has provided a consultant as well as its special erection tower equipment to assist a local Korean erector with the dome assembly.
