Draft Tube Crystallizer

EKATO optimizes crystallizers for Draft Tube Baffled Tanks (DTBT) / Improved crystallization of organic and inorganic intermediates and products / Less power consumption and better product quality

Frankfurt, May 2009 - EKATO Rühr- und Mischtechnik GmbH (RMT) introduces for ACHEMA 2009 an improved technology for DTBT - crystallizers.

Tanks equipped with draft tubes are ideal for the continuous crystallization of organic and inorganic intermediates and products like fertilizers, salts etc.. The pressure drop and dead water areas are reduced by an optimized design of the draft tube with its flow deflectors and the impeller including diffuser vanes, thus increasing the efficiency. Hence the EKATO Draft Tube Circulator lowers the power demand and contributes to savings in energy and production cost. What is more, low power input decreases the secondary nucleation and leads to larger crystals with a narrow particle size distribution, i.e., a better product quality.
