Come on. Organic roots - we nearly get the picture. Pit material - could be anything with any properties.
In the meantime it would be best to keep your pickers' hands away from crushers or screens.

Root Removal from Aggregates
We have several facilities that have organic roots mixed in with the pit material. We utilize manual labor to remove the roots form the product. I am soliciting other more cost effective methods of removal. Also, at what point in the process of crushing and screening is best to accomplish this is also a factor to be considered.
Thanks for any advice on this subject you may have. ■
