To Be Held In Conjunction With GEAPS Exchange 2004

MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. -- An influential grain-research conference has been scheduled in conjunction with the Grain Elevator & Processing Society’s annual technical conference and exposition, the Exchange, to be held here Feb. 21-24.

The one-day conference will address state-of-the-art grain-quality research taking place at leading U.S. universities and research centers. Planned and organized by the U.S. Quality Grains Research Consortium (NC-213), it will be held Feb. 25 at the Hilton Minneapolis & Towers hotel in downtown Minneapolis. The hotel will also serve as Exchange headquarters.

The U.S. Quality Grains Research Consortium is a project team of engineers, scientists and economists from leading U.S. land grant universities and government research centers that conduct research to create and disseminate the technical knowledge needed to manage quality and bio-security efficiently in world grain markets. Its vision is to strengthen the U.S. position in world agricultural markets by serving as the key scientific and technical consortium supporting grain and oilseed handling, distribution and processing. It is also the main organizer of the 2004 International Quality Grains Conference, which will be held July 19-22 in Indianapolis, Ind.

Because the event is not formally part of the GEAPS Exchange, people planning to attend must register with the NC-213 conference. Registration forms are available online at http://www.oardc.ohio-state.edu/nc21...istration.asp.
