Coal Road Logistics Operational Management and Scheduling Software
Can anyone provide some sort of insight into what integrated software solutions are available to centrally operationally manage and schedule (in real-time) the coal road transport from multiple mines to multiple Power Stations. This includes the monitoring/management of the mine and Power Station stock piles including quality and loading/offloading equipment that influence the road transport.
The logistics environment is characterized by a large number of transport companies, thousands of vehicles, approx 90 mines and 12 Power Stations.
Solutions provided by Matrikon, Qmastor and Mincom have been investigated but don't quite fit the requirement as are more supply chain 'visibility/monitoring' solutions and also have most of their experience in Rail.
