Bulk Density vs. Stroke Relationship

Posted in: , on 8. Apr. 2014 - 16:29

Hello,

According to VSMA's stroke table(i have attached this table to my post) all given stroke information based on material which have 100 lb/ft3 material(1,6 ton/m3).

and i just would like to if the material bulk density is heavier than 100 lb/ft3 material(1,6 ton/m3) so how this will effect on stroke value? Is there any exact calculation formula on this or should we just calculate the ratio between these two densities then multiply this ratio with stroke value from table?

strok table

Thanks in advance for your response,

Best regards,

Stroke Vs Material Bulk Density

dear Sir: the STROKE CHART you are reading is indicating the size of STROKE NEEDED strictly in regards to the size of the clear opening in the WIRECLOTH. Bulk density does not effect anything when reading that chart. Although, when calculating the actual square footage of vibrating screen we need to do a job...one of the VSMA FORMULA variables is material bulk density...which changes the SQUARE FEET of screen needed to do a job.

Dear Sir,

Thanks for your comment. I know that the material density effects on required screening area. I was just wondering whether material density can effect on stroke values as above stroke chart in VSMA handbook it is indicated that this values for 100 lb/ft3 material.

Again thank you for your time and answer.
