Dear friends,

I want design a roller screen for pellet iron ore with below specification:

1- bulk material: iron ore concentrate with 8-10% humidity

2- material flow=max. 200 t/h

would you please inform me:

1-Total area of screen(width x length) = ?

2- Inclination = ?

3- number of rollers (Primary roller screen) = ?

4- number of rollers (Secondary roller screen) = ?

5- RPM of Roller = ?

is there any references for designing roller screen?

1. before we can tell you width x length, we need to know what opening in the wirecloth you are cutting at?

2. Wet or dry?

3. Metric tons per hr or Short tons per hour?

4. Free flowing material? I assume yes?

Hello George

1- in the roller screen we have many rollers with the spacing between them and roller rotate. also total have a Inclination

2- the pellet iron ore is round with 7% moisture

3- Metric tons per hr

4- rollers are rotate and they have inclination

in additional the good pellet is 8mm - 16 mm round

Can you please tell me why you have specified a Roller Screen?

If you can tell me the highlighted points below then I can tell you what type of screen, screening area and angle of screen is required.

Material - Iron Ore

TPH - 200tph

Bulk Density - t/m3

Material Size - (Is it 0-16mm)

Moisture - 7%

Separation required - (Is this 8mm)

Feed Grading - (i.e 100% passing 16mm, 50% passing 8mm, 30% passing 4mm)

Hello Daniel

All of the Pelletizing plants Iron Ore use two roller screen for sizing pellets. the Primary roller screen separate oversize pellet and the secondary roller screen separate undersize pellet , so good size is 8-16 mm.

Bulk Density is 2.6 t/m3

Material Size is 0-more than 16mm

Moisture - 7%

Separation required is 8-16 mm (the good pellet is 8-16 mm)

Roll Screen For Iron Ore Processing Plant

We are going to apply roller screen as a tramp removing equipment over the HPGR in our iron ore processing plants

pls give me information about this screen for following situation (do you suggest this screen for iron ore?)

Material: iron ore (magnetite& hematite)

Particle size: <50 mm or <38 mm (tertiary crusher discharge)

Moisture content: <6%

Expected throughput: 700-1000 t/h

Circuit: closed (fresh feed with a banana screen circulating load)
