New Trickle Valve System Can Withstand Temperatures of up to 500°F

Aerodyne®, a division of Abanaki Corporation, announces its new High Temperature Vacu-Valve®. This Trickle Valve System is the lowest-cost, lowest-maintenance dust collector valve available. The High Temperature Vacu-Valve is equipped with a replaceable Silicone duck bill sleeve that can operate in temperatures of up to 500°F. The Vacu-Valve is available in two designs, the open construction of the Platypus and the closed construction of the Armadillo. The replaceable sleeves are chemical and caustic resistant as well as abrasive resistant. It is available in both carbon steel and stainless steel.

Both the Vacu-Valve Platypus and Armadillo are cost-effective solutions to rotary valves for particular applications. These trickle valve systems operate as constant discharge valves for dust collectors, hoppers, cyclones, and other equipment operating under negative pressure. Their unique duck bill designs allow for dispensing dry free-flowing material continuously and, unlike rotary valves, have no moving parts to maintain. The low-maintenance Vacu-Valve requires no lubrication, controls, or power supply; whereas rotary valves require a power driven motor. The Vacu-Valve is ideal for "keep empty" dust collection units.

Typical industries that utilize Vacu-Valves include: foundry, mining, cement, pharmaceutical, dry foods, plastics, chemical, and manufacturing.

Aerodyne Vacu-Valves are an efficient and economical solution for emptying particulate from dust collectors and bag houses. Aerodyne offers a range of valves, including: double dump, slide gate, rotary, and knife gate valves. The material-handling valves are one of the longest lasting and durable in the powder and bulk handling industry.
