Schenck Process presented its air filter technology at POWTECH 2011
Schenck Process has expanded its range of solutions and equipment to include air filter technology. The weighing and feeding specialist presented its MCF filter system for the first time at POWTECH 2011. This technology is excellently suited to applications in the animal feed, processed foods, chemicals, plastics and heavy industries.
The benefits of the system include its circular casing, which makes the MCF extremely robust and easy to install. Improved bag cleaning means that smaller filters than normal can be used. What's more, the MCF doesn't use compressed air, so valuable plant air is freed up for other applications. The MCF can handle air flows from 20 000 to around 300 000 m3 per hour.

The machine is also a clear winner in terms of cost savings. It is fitted with just two diaphragm valves and the filter can be changed without the need for any tools. Both of these features help to considerably reduce maintenance costs and downtimes. In all, the MCF system offers significantly reduced operating costs compared with many standard systems thanks to the index cleaning mechanism's medium pressure blower cleaning. These are attractive savings as energy prices continue to rise.
Schenck Process was able to expand its range thanks to its takeover of Clyde Process Solutions, a leading supplier of air filtration, pneumatic conveying and injection technologies, at the start of 2011.
