The most important thing to remember when handling cement is move slow. Many times a rotary prefeeder is required because cement aeriates so easily it will flood right through the feeder and weigh system is useless. My preference is to not enclose the bottom of the feeder to simplify any clean up, although some people like to add a drag conveyor for constant cleaning. ■

1. Buffer Hopper - Sizing

2. Rotary Airlock Valve - Sizing

3. Weigh Hopper - Sizing

4. Bulk density - Material

5. Butterfly valve / Knife Gate Valve.

Total weight - Weigh Hopper, Material to weigh and batch and Butterfly Valve/ KGY
