Eirich at ACHEMA 2009

At the Achema 2009 exhibition, Eirich will be presenting mechanical and thermal process engineering technology with a broad range of machines and equipment to cover the basic operations of "mixing, pelletizing, drying and fine grinding".

This includes complete one-stop solutions and access to the expertise available at the Eirich technical center in the fields of process development and optimization. Implementation and realization take place in the company’s own department for control system and plant construction – with no further interfaces.

Cornerstones of the Eirich display include:

Mixing technology

The highlight at ACHEMA 2009 is the new type R12W intensive mixer, which supplements the R12 presented in 2006 as a version which meets in particular manner the requirements faced on production lines with frequently changing formulas. The cover can be swung up to provide direct access to the mixing tools and pan, thus enabling particularly easy cleaning and servicing.

The R01 type mixer with effective volumes of 1, 5 or 10 litres is presented with a comprehensive software package with which users can plan and control their mixing operations. It thus meets all the requirements imposed on modern mixing processes as indispensable contributors to the development of new products and product characteristics.

Drying technology

Good results can be achieved in complex processing processes by supplementing the Eirich mixing technology with task-specific peripheral drying equipment. Basic process engineering operations like mixing, pelletizing, reacting, drying and cooling can all be realized in a single machine.

The drying processes encompass a broad range, including for example

- convection drying of aqueous material systems with smoke gases or hot air,

- convection drying in enclosed circulation operation mode, including Ex-proof applications,

- drying with superheated water vapor, in circulation operation mode and with integrated evaporation cooling (EVACTHERM® method).
