During 2008-09, Sthim America LLC has developed and finished a total of seven projects in the USA. With these projects the company, started in 2007, strengthen its presence in the US cement market and reinforce its position as a leading supplier in the bulk material solutions.
-Keystone Cement Company, Bath (Pennsylvania) - With Polysius USA, Inc.
Sthim America LLC supplied all the conveyors for clinker and additives from the cooler to the finish mill. There were supplied eight belt conveyors with its structures (including two transfer towers), two chain conveyors and one metal pan conveyor. After the finish mill, four belt conveyors were supplied for feeding cement silos.
-Keystone Cement Company, Bath (Pennsylvania) - With FL Smidth USA
Two chain conveyors were supplied, one of them of low speed discharge.
In addition three belt conveyors and two belt elevators were installed. One of these belt elevators was for the feeding of the calcination tower (more than 300 feet height)
-Giant Cement Holding, Harleyville (South Carolina)
A huge metal bucket conveyor was supplied. The length of this conveyor was of 113 meters (370 feet) with a 45º angle. This conveyor came feed the clinker silo. The six silo discharges were also provided by Sthim. A pan conveyor under the silo transports the clinker to a long belt conveyor that finish in the storage clinker installation. All these equipments were provided by Sthim America LLC. (Figure 1)
-Drake Cement, Scottsdale (Arizona)
For this facility, Sthim America LLC provided a total of eight elevators (Three chained, five belted) and the metal bucket conveyor from the cooler. Two of these elevators were of 105 meters (345 feet)
-American Cement Company, Sumterville (Florida) – With Polysius USA, Inc.
Seven high lengthen belt conveyors with all their support structures.
It’s remarkable due to its length and support structure, the conveyor with the tripper, for the raw pre-homogenization park (Figure 2)
-TXI, New Braunfels (Texas) With Polysius USA, Inc.
For Texas Industries, Inc. was developed the supply of 14 belt conveyors with all their support structures. (Including several transfer towers)
Special mention for the 250 meters (820 feet) length conveyor, all of it elevated. The bridge finishes in a rotary stacker inside a circular silo that has required a special engineering study.
