Tenova TAKRAF to supply a Woodchip Loading Plant to GeelongPort

April 16, 2009. [BT]enova TAKRAF[/B] (through Tenova-Semf Pty. Ltd., Australia) and McConnell Dowell Constructors Pty. Ltd. (working in a Joint Venture) have recently begun working on the design and construction of a new wharf and woodchip loading facility at GellongPort’s Corio Quay facility.

Tenova SEMF are responsible for the design and supply of two elevated woodchip feed conveyors and a Shiploader. The facility will be designed for an average throughput of 1000 tonnes per hour (tph) and an annual capacity of 2.5 million tonnes. The Shiploader is the third generation of a proven design that features:

270° boom slew angle

40° boom luff range

12m shuttle

10m telechute

jet slinger.

This project demonstrates that Tenova SEMF’s extensive catalog of proven designs can be easily adapted to reduce project design time and lower the capital costs.

The facility will be delivered progressively in the second half of 2009 and will be finished by the 11 of February, 2010.

Tenova designs and supplies advanced technologies, products and services for the metal and mining industries. Tenova operates close to its customers through a network of 31 companies based on the 5 continents.
