AggFlow

Does anybody here use AggFlow?

I'm somewhat new to the program, but I noticed with programming in my screens that they do not allow for entering different sized screens on the same deck. We put a slightly larger screen on the feed end in order to reduce bed depth and increase distribution between the 3 decks. Does anyone know any way around this so that I can get a more accurate interpolation?

Interpolation

The only way around this.....is from your own basic knowledge of the percentages passing with different screen openings.

VSMA figures in the AGGFLOW program actually will show percent passing specific screen OPENINGS. All we do when using bigger openings......is kinda figure from experience how much more passing there will be or not be and adjust the SIZE OF THE DECK RECOMMENDED up or down by ASSUMPTION.

All of those programs are not sacro-sanc BLACK and WHITE but, in reality assumptive values ascertained from actual in the field sieve analysis to come up with a assumptive useable sizing formula which can be used then adjusted accordingly as needed by REAL KNOWN INFORMATION by the person doing the calculation.

Most folks just size the screen BIGGER FOR safety factor and ensure their efficiency is kept high.

Keep Smiling.....

Yeah that is what I have been doing, I was just hoping there was an easier way to do it so that I could show the plant supers. in a quick and easy way what changing one screen will do to change your spec and production. Its one of those things that you know enough by just working around the equipment, but without things in black and white some people are just stubborn to change

But Experience Really Must Be Applied

All of these VSMA formulas which are loaded into AGGFLOW as the basis of that software is on Historical in the field data and experiences in real PRACTICAL life in the field.

VSMA warns all the way thru......these calculations are assumptive, so when you get the square footage from the aggflow recommendation. THAT IS NOT BLACK & WHITE at all......it is very close.

But, we must apply our working experience on that actual products known goofy handling characteristics and make the machine LONGER OR WIDER accordingly AFTER some discussion from past experiences.

The old fellow I learned from said nothing is BLACK AND WHITE in the vibrating screen business.....so hard to guarantee zip all.
