I currently dispose of approx 150 tons of spent grit per day as hazardous waste to a land fill site.

we are trying to find a way to recycle this grit possibly in a cement mix, pavingslabs or blocks.

Question is does anybody know of any process or machinery that can do this.

All ideas welcome.

Copper Salts

Hi Animal,

Copper salts decompose into rat-poison, so it can have a devastating effect on groundwater in the area.

Seems to me you should think of a furnace process which can fuse the copper together, and get rid of the soluble salts toxicity.

I like the idea of waste from one process becoming feed for a downstream process. Excellent thought.

Thanks John

This grit would definatley have to be fired and combined with something to give it some structual properties.
