MGT Power is developing a wood chip / hog fuel unloading & storage facility as part of a large power project. The quay will need to unload 5 million cubic meters per annum of wood chip, or approximately 30,000 m3 per 24 hour working day.

This material will be stocked out at this rate, but reclaimed at a lower rate of approx 15,000 m3 per day. The stockpile will contain approx 150,000 tonnes of wood chip, stacked to a maximum height of 15m.

We are particularly interested to hear about experience with fully automated stacking and reclamation systems (eg portal frame stacker/scraper reclaimers) versus a mobile plant (eg Volvo or Terex scraper) solution.
