Hi! I have get one Lab to test the shrinkage value for one type of PET with method ASTM 1204.

My customer request the result from DIN53377.

Can anyone help to explain to me, is there any difference(s) between this DIN 53377 and ASTM 1204?

Thank You.

Hi caixy,

Looks like you need a German speaking friend on this Forum.

Often the tests are similar, but not identical. ASTM probably gives you the answer, but may not be directly comparable with DIN test results obtained on similar samples.

I suggest you contact a good technical library by phone, such as CSIRO in Australia. They can probably email you a copy of the relevant clauses in the Standards.
