I have a customer who will be pneumatically blowing into a cylone and is venting the cyclone to a dust collector do they need a Rotary Valve for the discharge of the cyclone? The product is 36 PCF Food Pellets and isn't very dusty.

Thanks,

Air lock on the bottom of the cyclone is required otherwise air will escape from the bottom with the product. For continuous operation rotary valve is one type of arrangement other option is double dump valves. If it is a batch process then single valve can also be used as an air lock.
