What do you say about one comparison belt lagging rubber x ceramics?

Is ceramics really advantageous, despite the high initial and maintenance costs??

Isn´t the ceramic lagging more riscant to the belt, due the possibility of the sharping edges of eventual lost pieces of the lagging to cut the belt??

Will the atrict fator of the ceramics possibly reduced by the wear?in my pulleys and Iwould like to know about your impressions about it.
