Loss in weight GRAVIKO for the extrusion process

In the extrusion process, controlling the exact thickness of film or the meter weight of sections frequently presents a problem. This has prompted Koch-Technik to develop loss in weight GRAVIKO. How it works: The batch of materials is mixed or stored using a volumetric or a gravimetric mixing station. A slider fitted to the outlet empties a specific amount into the loss in weight gravimetric system below. This consists of a reserve container, the content of which is constantly weighed to determine the loss in weight per time unit. This allows the throughput of the extruder to be recorded or controlled via a control unit (e.g. a star feeder or by varying the speed of the extruder). When the weighing container of the loss in weight GRAVIKO is empty, the slider of the mixing station above it opens automatically and refills the reserve container. This new quantity is weighed and processed.

For more than 30 years, the name Koch-Technik has been synonymous with innovation, precision, modular flexibility and cost-effectiveness in the mixing, dosing, conveying and drying of plastic granulates and plastic powders. Use of our equipment and systems in more than 3200 plastic processing companies around the world document the acceptance and high efficiency of these systems in everyday production work.
