Re: Need Help £¨Snab Drive£©
found on the internet using -snub drive-
snub pulley
An idler pulley so mounted as to increase the arc of contact between a belt and a drive pulley.
When used in a wrap drive, it has the added

thanks teus.
appreciate your help. ■

Incidentally Bobyan..
As per a previous thread, I prefer to avoid snub pulleys if humanly possible.
This is based on the fact that you may not require the increased wrap to transmit the power.
It is further based on the fact that if it isn't there, you don't have to buy it or maintain it.

Re: Need Help £¨Snab Drive£©
As another has said, drive snub pulleys should be avoided. There are a number of reasons for this:
1. It normally contacts the dirty side of the belt and experiences buildup. Buildup changes the rotational behavior and belt dynamics, which leads to unacceptable fluctuation in dirve motor torque, belt line force fluctuation, reducer and bearing dynamic life reduction and structural overloading.
2. Causes load imbalances between primary and secondary dual drive motors
3. Causes poor belt cleaning and/or belt and cleaner damage due to the flap action
4. Added mainternance item in itself. ■
