Not sure if you mean that you want to design your own or if you just need to spec one for your application.

Here is an example of one company that specializes in them. Many of their systems are in use in the cement industry.

Dear MAX.Please send us the followings-

1. Capacity to be conveyed from air slide.

2. Location of starting and end point.

We will provide you free of cost--

Size and specifications of air slide

Size and specifications of any valve/divertor coming on the way.

Size of fan ect.

If you need fabrication/shop drawings for air slide we can supply you the same also

By the way can you send us the General arrrangement of the proposed system?

For your information we have just finished the detailed report for 60,000 t cement storage and 5 mtpa despatch terminal in Kuwait.

In this we have shown/designed cement despatch by-BULK,IN BAGS(50 KGS) AND IN JUMBO BAGS.

Hi to everyone.

I need that calculations too to design an airslide conveyor.. What are the criterias to calculate 85t/h cement raw conveying airslide?

What is the air needs and dimensions of the conveyor? How will be the filter connections to take unused air from the system?

Does anyone have information about tese subjects?

The majority of the technology you are requesting lies with the various suppliers who have developed their relationships either by testing, field experience or a combination of both.

They will logically not be very willng to provide that information only to have someone build their own units. Most of the time, you will need valves. diveter sections, and other components which must match up to the respective cross section dimensions. These often vary from vendor to vendor.

We will very likely be able to offer you a design and specification which will enable you to build the units yourself if you so desire.

Please send all details available to our e-mail address below and I'll be happy to send you a proposal for our services.

Design And Calculations For Air Slides

Erstellt am 19. Jan. 2007 - 06:37

Dear Max Tua,

Design and calculation methods for air slides have been published in solids handling literature. Basic principles are the same as those used in fluidization. To get started you can get good information on this subject from the book "Pneumatic Conveying of Solids" by Marcus, Leung, Klinzing, and Rizk. This book should be available in your library. If you need help, you may contact me.

Air Slide For Raw Meal

Erstellt am 26. Jun. 2007 - 03:21

Dears,

we would like to use air slide instead of screw conveyor for conveying raw meal(outlet product of raw mill in cement plant) or for conveying outlet product of bagfilter(dust) of preheater. as I have checked it will be so cheaper!

In this situation would you please answer below questions:

1- is it possible using air slide in this department?

2- max. temperature of dust will be about 240 deg. C,is there any cloth for this situation?what is its characteristic?

thanks

Yes, air slides can be used for those applications.

The material temperature of 240 deg C will require the use of either fiberglass fabric or stainless steel porus cloth such as the trade name "DYNAPORE"
