I am looking for an Engineering company to design and supervise a flat cement storage with a capacity of 20,000 ton up to 30,000 tons in one of the sea terminals in Egypt.

Loading into storage via truck silos with self discharge. unloading rate to Ship in the range of 400 tons/hour.

Minimum investment is a priority, followed by simple and dust free design and minmum time for construction.

Try Connell Wagner or Connell Hatch in Australia

Or MPA Shedden in Australia.,

U need to be very very careful with the designer, 30,000T is a lot of cement and silo design is a specialist skill.

There have been silos around the world that have failed or had to be pulled down in the cement industyr due to design issues.

I ams sure that U are aware of this where u are.

Hi awa@ecc-eg.net. While Grotto's Tool Works does not design or build what you require, we'll wager you're going to need what we make and market. It's the BearWhip 2000 conveyor belt cleaning system. Dear Sir,

Our initial response to your enquiry is that SEMF are interested in providing services for the Project you have described.

SEMF can supply the following Project stages of work (SEMF can deliver all or individual stages as required by the Client):

(I) Stage 1. Feasibility Study. This would be a basic requirement document as a report (This would include Client liaison with a possible site visit).

(ii) Stage 2. Concept Design. The Concept Design would be done after the Feasibility Study has been approved by the Client. The Concept Design would be completed, together with a cost estimate for SEMF costs and a Project Construction estimate.

(iii) Stage 3. Detail Design. After the Concept Design was completed, SEMF would then go through a design review stage with the Client. The agreed design would then be completed to produce the Detail Design. The Detail Design would cover all deciplines such as Mechanical, Structural and Civil and Electrical engineering all to our Quality Assurance standards. The SEMF deliverables would typically cover all necessary drawings and details, equipment or package specifications, Project Estimate and Project Schedule (Time based program).

(iv) Stage 4. Tender Process and Procurement. SEMF would prepare and issue Tender documents to approved Tenderers. The work would then involve Tender review and issue of contracts to successful Contractors.

(v) Stage 5. Construction Supervision and Management. SEMF would provide overall project monitoring of Contractor performance based on the agreed Project Schedule, and quality management during design and construction phase.

ISSUES:

A number of issues will need to be sorted out before we can proceed, these are listed below:

The Client should preferably engage a local Consulting Engineering company familiar with the local standards, statutory approvals and the building codes who can liaise with SEMF.

Equipment and materials supply from Australia may not be feasible given the shipping cost and time implications, however these issues can be resolved at the Feasibility Stage.

NECESSARY INFORMATION:

As part of our quality management system, SEMF need to present the following information to the SEMF company management before proceeding with preparation of Tender or proposals:

1. Project information including location, client, project status and delivery method (turn key design and construct or other methods) and financing status (approved or pending).

2. Services required by SEMF (Scope of work),

3. Tendering process. Is this Project open Tender, pre-qualification or by appointment. If open or pre-qualification tender, how many other companies have been invited?

4. Type of contract that is preferred by the Client.

SEMF provide Quality Assurance during all stages of work

Please let us know if you are interested in any of the consulting - engineering services we can provide. For details about SEMF capability please refer to our web site (<http://www.semf.com.au>www.semf.com.au).
