Can you tell me the most common used sizing calculation used (metric) for dewatering screens and the important factors to consider.

Dewatering Factors

Using VSMA guidelines: we would still plug in all factors into the sizing equation, which would identify TPH of solids that is being dewatered and screen area needed to do so.

Typically would be using a horizontal screen to dewater but, can use inclined also.

Newest thing now, is to DEWATER UPHILL vs on the flat or horizontal. Run material uphil plus minus 8 degrees with a very small stroke and a very fast RPM.........turns out to be very efficient for removing water from material.
