ALP Mineral Sizers Recieve Major African Iron Ore Semi Mobile Sizing Station Order
ALP Mineral Sizers, have recently been awarded an Order to supply a Total of 8 Off Semi Mobile Sizing Stations.
The Project includes 8 Semi Mobile In Pit ALP Mineral Sizing Stations, 4 Primary ALP 1300, and 4 ALP 630 Series Quads each Sizing Station consisting of One Primary ALP 1300 Series Sizer and One Secondary ALP 630 Quad Sizer, Respectively.
Each ALP Primary 1300 Series Sizer has a 3000mm Working Throat, and is Driven by Twin 500kw ALP Gear Boxes, with a Total Weight of 130 Tons.
Each Sizer will accept an In Feed Size of up to 1300mm, to give a Nominal Out Feed Size of 300mm at a Rate of 5000 TPH, the ALP 1300 Series Sizers, will be Fed by 2400mm x 11000mm Heavy Duty Apron Plate Feeders, with a Bin Capacity of 240m3.
The 300mm Outfeed Material will then be Fed onto a Field Conveyor, which feed the Secondary 630 ALP 630 Quad Sizer.
The Secondary ALP 630 Quad Series Sizers, have a 4000mm Working Throat, and are Driven by 4 x 250Kw ALP Gear Boxes, with a Total Weight of 88 Tons.
Each Quad Sizer will accept an In Feed Size of 300mm, to give a Nominal Out Feed Size of 100mm.
Each Separate Primary 1300 Sizing Station, will situated into the Bench, where they will be Fed from Truck Bridges capable of accepting 2 Trucks at any time.
The Sizing Stations will be moved around the Mine at various intervals using a Mobile Tansportable Under Carriage, easily driven under each section.
Although there were 3 Bidders (Including ALP Mineral Sizers), it came down to the Unique Star Track Tooth System, used only on ALP Mineral Sizers, which gives the ability to change the Teeth, without the removal of Sizing Shafts or Gear Boxes, The ALP Star Track System also gives the ability to remove One Tooth, without the removal of Several other Teeth, should this also be needed.
Wear Factors were also taken into consideration, and as with ALL ALP Mineral Sizers, a Solid Manganese Type Tooth is used, where as on other similar units, kit was noted a Cap Style Tooth was used, which have a more constant Wear Factor, and the expenditure on Wear Parts was another Major Factor in the order being awarded.
Although the above Wear Factors and Unique ALP Star Track Tooth Configuration were Major Factors in the decision to place the order with ALP Mineral Sizers, it was Ultimately Price, which came into the Final Decision, after the Customer and its Engineering Team, had scrutinized each Specification given by the 3 Bidders, it was realised, that on a Sizer for Sizer Inspection, most OEM Supplied Parts,i.e. Bearings, Motors, Fluid Couplings, were all of the same manufacturer, weights of each Sizers were not of much difference, as were the Parameters much the same of each Bidders Sizers.
Differences being, Each Competitor in the Bid having their own Tooth Style Configurations, and other subtle differences, however apart from this, it was considered that all 3 Bidders were what the Customer Termed as the "ONLY" ORIGINAL Suppliers of Sizers in the World to date.
Although ALP Mineral Sizers are relatively New by Name to the Sizing World, its Pedigree, Knowledge and Technology spreads over 25 Years, and the ALP Star Track Tooth Configuration has been in use for the last 20 Years.
All these Major Factors resulted in the in ALP Mineral Sizers being Ultimately Awarded a USD $45,000,000 Order.
