Purpose:
The rotation sensor is used for the supervision and security of any rotating machines. It reports overspeed, underspeed and stops. This solution is designed to increase the lifespan of proximity switches and to strengthen human safety thanks to its fully enclosed design (proximity switch and all moving parts are inside a robust casing).
Applications:
The DDR is used on all rotating machines, such as bucket elevators, belt conveyors, screw conveyors from 1,5 rpm to 500 rpm.
Operating:
Easy installation: the thread of the rotation sensor has to be screwed into the rotating shaft, a chain avoids any rotation of the body. This complete unit is not affected by shaft movements and prevents from any damage of the proximity switch.
Iteca Socadei can provide you with 2 rotation sensors:
• DDR ø 12 for over and underspeed detection: this proximity switch delivers pulses to a specific module (ULSA) or directly to a PLC.
• DDR ø 30 for underspeed detection: this proximity switch delivers a contact when an underspeed occurs, an easy adjustment has to be done directly on the sensor.
