Well, our company will buy brand new surface drill rig (borehole) for creating mining holes for blasting operations. I have several offers for surface drill rig (in the same class). Two of them three are with DTH (down the hole) option, and the last one is with surface top hammer option.
Types of drill rigs are:
- Atlas Copco ROC F6 (DTH option)
- Atlas Copco ROC D7 - 11 (top hammer option)
- Sandvik Titon DI 200 (DTH option).
Type of rock in a our quarry is dolomite (hardnees according to Mohs: 3).
Our old drill rig is Bohler BPI 115 (2002.) and we are very satisfied with BPI 115 performances.
Unfortunately, we haven't experience with drill rig with top hammer option. If anybody have or know adavantages and imperfectiones of this types of drill rigs, I would be very thankful.
