The Universal Recycle Code

Posted in: , on 18. Sep. 2009 - 19:10

We are trying to get the word out on our new standard, the Universal Recycle Code. I will allow recyclers to know what content is in any consumer or industrial electronics product. The universal recycle code is a positional notation in which each of 47 base pairs is representative of the percentage of composition by weight of several known reusable and recyclable metals, organics and engineered materials.

Base pairs are designated in hexadecimal notation allowing for precision within .5%.

Help us build the standard at www.universalrecyclecode.com

Hi,

The universal recycle code is mainly used to identify the material from which

an item is made,to facilitate easier recycling or other reprocessing.
