Material Accumulaton at Center of Screen

Posted in: , on 24. Jun. 2009 - 06:43

DEAR SIR,

THANKS FOR REPLYING UNBALANCED WEIGHT SHAPE QUERY, I AM TOTALY NEW TO THIS FEILD SO I DONT KNOW WHETHER I AM WRONG?

THE ACTUAL PROBLEM I AM FACING IS THAT I HAVE A CIRCULAR VIBRATORY SCREEN. AND THE EXCITATION FORCE IS BY UNBALANCED WEIGHT MOUNTED ON BOTH SIDE OF VIB. MOTOR. THE VERTICAL AMPLITUDE IS 3 mm & HORIZONTAL IS 4UPTO MY ASSUMPTION THE MATERIAL SHOULD TRAVEL ON OUTER SHELL DUE TO MORE HORIZONTAL AMPLITUDE.

BUT IN PRACTICE IT GETS ACCUMULATED AT CENTER AND OVERSIZE DOES NOT COME FROM DISCHARGE.

SO I AM IN DOUBT WHETHER MY MACHINE IS WORKING OK OR NOT.

MESH - 100 X 42 GUAGE.

TOTAL FORCE IS 3000 N AT TOP & 2000 N AT BOTTOM.

SCREEN SIZE IS 19 INCH DIA.

MACHINE OUTPUT : 50 Kg / hour

HOW CAN I MEASURE THE MACHINE PERFORMANCE

HOW CAN I INCREASE THE OUTPUT OF MACHINE

Vibrator Orientation

without seeing it is very difficult to comment, but it does sound like the vibrator may be installed in the wrong orientation or spot.

or, size of the eccentric offset may be too small on that vibrator to actually do the job at hand, which is move the oversize and stratify to bed depth to cause effective screening separation of the particles.

when material stays at the centre, the unit HUMPS.....vs moving across the wirecloth surface and bed depth increases and screening efficiency decreases.

a few digital photos would help immensely.

Motor Orientation

mounting position or location could be causing this problem.

Stroke is fairly minimal at 3mm........6mm is 1/4" size plus minus.....

what is the top size of feed material.

what is the sieve size from biggest to smallest.

how deep is the bed of material ...at the DISCHARGE END of the screen deck.

how fast is unit operating.

is material bone dry or damp or non free flowing?

are openings in wirecloth (assumed) plugged or open

any one of these factors can effect and/or cause your situation.

Re: Material Accumulaton At Center Of Screen

dear sir,

my machine sreen is 19 inch diameter. single circular screen machine.

feed rate is 2 kg/min and screen size is 100 mesh

after the initial run mesh get overfloded and arond the 10-15 mm thk. layer get formed on the mesh

in proccess one more thing is observed to us is that the material captured the moistured while trials so we are not able to judge the moisture containent of the material.

As material start building on the mesh the undersize also starts coming with oversize.

vertical throw is 3-4mm, and horizontal throw is 4-5mm

is my vibration level is low on screen area is less.

please reply.

Seems To Me That Many Things Are Wrong...

100 mesh screening......aperture or opening....this is very fine, requiring numerous conditions to screen properly.

120Kg per HOUR...

- what is the actual screen area size please? HOW WIDE x how LONG? in inches

- you are way in excess of the rules of VSMA for particle or material BED DEPTH for the size of opening in inches......100mesh..... = FINES in the COARSE carryover

- Your RPM has not been mentioned...how fast is it running by tachometer?

.................................

In North America........my only reference of practical experience of mine....I would be using the following type of screener.

- A TYLER hummer screen or a SIMILAR ....which for this opening, would be installed at an ANGLE of 33 degrees minimum up to 36 degrees maximum, and the stroke PULL or length would be nominal 1/32" up on an armature POST.....with the VPM......or vibrations per minute being around 1800 VPM on the low side to 3600VPM on the high side.

What this accomplishes........is we need a high slope to move the fine material down the deck length, so we DO NOT GANG UP IN THE MIDDLE.....and we only need to STRATIFY the material up in the air....MINIMALLY....because the opening is so fine.....and we INCREASE THE VIBRATIONS PER MINUTE on this armature post to get as many INTRODUCTIONS of the fine material to the 100 MESH OPENING IN the wirecloth as possible.......we need many chances to pass when this fine.

- D0 YOU HAVE A DIGITAL PIC PLEASE?

Material Accumulation

can anybody tell me with referance to the details provided in earlier thread and the video shown here ithat i am running the machine properly.

effective screen area is 232 sq. inch and it is a circular sgreen of around 19 inch diameter. rpm of vibratory motor is 1500 so vertical throw is 1/8 inch and horizontal throw is 1/6 inch.

I am not able to understand the defination of inclined(lower angle-higer angle) seive for circular seive machine.
