ACHEMA 2009 – A Review

A lot of visitors, good mood

This year, the expectations for the exhibition were dampened by negative economic data and uncertainties regarding international trade. After the opening of the ACHEMA on May 11th, it soon proved that the 3,767 exhibitors could be satisfied: On five days over 173,000 visitors from all over the world visited the trade fair.

The ACHEMA 2009 was also highly satisfactory for FRITSCH • Milling and Sizing: We had an increase of visitors of 15 % at the FRITSCH-booth. The presence of our trading partners, customers and visitors and their comments on our new product developments were very positive and allow us to look ahead optimistically.

The ACHEMA is one of the most important exhibitions for FRITSCH. Of course there are other important exhibitions for us, but there is a lack of international presence at the Analytica or even Pittcon for example - something that the ACHEMA always provides. One could argue whether the broad spectrum of the ACHEMA adds or detracts from its success, but the fact is that no other exhibition attracts so many specialist dealers from abroad as the ACHEMA. This led us to plan our product developments in a three-year cycle and we strive to present new product innovations during the ACHEMA to the public.

This year, the visitors could convince themselves of the following new solutions for milling and sizing:

• Laser Particle Sizer ANALYSETTE 22 MicroTec plus – the super compact all-round-laser for a very small price with an extra-wide measuring range for all applications

• MaS control Software – for intelligent control, evaluation and documentation of the FRITSCH Laser Particle Sizers, Mills and Sieve Shakers

• Planetary Mono Mil PULVERISETTE 6 premium line – for the comminution of larger sample quantities down into the nano range. Finer grinding results in shorter time

• EASY GTM – controls the mill and for continuous measurement of gas pressure and temperature during the grinding process directly in the grinding bowl
