Salina, KS –Vortex® Valves will introduce its patented Quantum™ Series 4-Way Wye Line Diverter™ at NPE 2009, Booth S2045. The new wye line diverter is specifically designed to eliminate problems in handling dry bulk solids in pneumatic conveying systems commonly seen in traditional flapper and rotating tunnel style diverters. The 4-Way Wye Line Diverter, available in 2” to 6” (50mm to 150mm) pipe or tube, can direct dry bulk material from one source to four destinations, or converge from four sources to one destination with vacuum or positive pressures up to 15 psig (1 barg), depending on size and modifications.
The new Quantum series is a significant design innovation over Vortex’s original Wye Line Diverter. Vortex utilizes precision laser cutting and bending technology to manufacture this leading-edge valve. The patented Quantum design features improved sealing performance, more weather resistance, higher durability, easier maintenance, and fewer parts.
The Wye Line Diverter can be installed quickly and maintained safely within the production line. The diverter also provides positive air and material shutoff, eliminating material buildup beyond the closed port, improving process efficiency.
The Quantum Series 4-Way Wye Line Diverter offers a wide variety of modifications to accommodate high or low temperatures, corrosive, abrasive, outdoor, and hazardous environments.
