The EKATO Group at ACHEMA 2009:

Focus on Engineering and Service

Modular system PARAVISC as ideal solution for multi-functional equipment / RXT offers comprehensive services for reactors.

Schopfheim, March 2009. At ACHEMA 2009 the EKATO Group will be focusing on the process engineering services of its subsidiary EKATO Rühr- und Mischtechnik GmbH (RMT) with respect to viscous mixing as well as comprehensive engineering services for complete reactors.

Modular design system for viscous mixing

Viscous mixing often places a multitude of requirements on the mixing system. Next to mixing tasks such as homogenization and heat transfer, suspending tasks within wide viscosity ranges with adaptable shear rates are also required. The EKATO PARAVISC, with its modular design, has proven to be a flexible all-rounder for applications up to viscosities of 106 mPas and has made a name for itself within the last few years. According to requirements, the EKATO PARAVISC can be combined with baffles, wall scrapers or additional agitators such as coaxial or off-center systems with extra shafts that are independently driven. Based on this wide spectrum of applications, the PARAVISC system offers ideal solutions for multi-purpose equipment. In this way the engineering provider EKATO RMT has reacted to the increasing demand for tailor-made solutions in this segment.

Comprehensive services for reactors

Whether complex processes such as highly viscous applications, reactions in gas-liquid reactors or dimensioning of large reactors – EKATO RMT has gathered all these core competences together in one business field called "Reactors and Reaction Technology (RXT)". The scope of services includes all-inclusive services for reactors – starting with the process engineering, the design with operationally-safe dimensioning up to the delivery of complete units. In this way all individual components of a reactor and the way in which they interact as well as their influence on process results can be optimally synchronized. Plant operators receive competent support in a worldwide competition that aims for increased productivity. This includes an implementation of state-of-the-art design and test methods that result in lower investment costs as well as a significant increase in operational safety and availability.

Come meet the EKATO GROUP from 11 - 15 May, 2009 at the ACHEMA 2009 in Frankfurt in hall 5.0, stand B 19 - C 26
