K-Tron to Exhibit Solutions for Difficult Conveying Applications
(Niederlenz/Switzerland, March 31, 2009) — K-Tron Premier’s P-Series vacuum sequencing receivers provide a custom solution for difficult conveying applications. The sanitary design is perfect for applications in the pharmaceutical and food industries. The K-Tron Process Group will show the model P30 at Achema in the openair ground F1.0, Booth A5-A7. K-Tron Premier’s P-Series vacuum sequencing receivers have been redesigned to the same high quality finish standards as K-Tron’s line of weigh feeders.
More highlights of the New K-Tron Premier brand will be:
•2415 Powder & Pellet Vacuum Sequencing Receiver with New Series 4 Controller
The 2415 receiver is designed to handle powder, pellet, regrind or granular materials in the chemical, food and plastics industries. The 2415 is available in either aluminum or stainless steel construction.
•Heavy-Duty (HD) and Quick-Clean (QC) Aerolock™ Rotary Valves
K-Tron Premier also offers Light-Duty (LD), Maximum-Duty (MD) and Blow-Through (BT) models including over 150 styles and sizes.
Also to be on display in the booth will be the K-Tron Feeders ActiFlow™ Smart Bulk Solids Activator. The ActiFlow is a new material flow aid that reliably prevents bridge building and non-uniform flow of cohesive bulk materials in stainless steel hoppers. ActiFlow will make common mechanical agitation obsolete when used in "loss-in-weight" (gravimetric) feeding applications. It is completely maintenance free and has no product contact with the process material there fore, the time required for cleaning of the feeder for material change-over is greatly reduced.

•K-Vision, the new feeder operator interface
The new multiple feeder/single line operator interface for the KCM features multi-language support, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean and a selectable quad screen feature.
