New Web Site Features Bulk Bag Related Technical Resources

Mississauga, ON – March 3, 2009 – Control and Metering’s new web site helps visitors become more knowledgeable about bulk bags and bulk bag handling.

The new site includes a Blog featuring articles specifically related to bulk bags and their use, an interactive web-voter listing of bulk solids and bulk bag Internet resource sites and technical articles and case studies.

“Our objective in launching the new web site is to provide an online focal point for bulk bag related technical resources and information,” said Don Mackrill, Control and Metering’s President. “Of course we also feature our products and services, but that is not the site’s sole focus,” he said. “We believe that the industry lacks a single, key resource for bulk bag related information and we aim to fulfill that need with our new web site.” New articles, information and resources will be regularly added to the site.

Bulk bags, also commonly known as “FIBCs”, “big bags”, “bulk sacks” and “bulk totes”, are an intermediate bulk container made of woven, polypropylene fabric. With payloads from a few hundred pounds to over a ton, bulk bags are an inexpensive means of shipping dry bulk solids.

Control and Metering's mission is to optimize every bulk bag handling operation on earth. Products and services include bulk bag fillers and unloaders, flexible screw conveyors, pneumatic conveying systems and mechanical and electrical integration, installation and facility design and construction services.
