AEC Introduces New Single Shaft Shredder for Waste and Recycling
Schaumburg, IL – The new AXS Extreme Duty Single Shaft Shredder from AEC provides the versatility needed to handle just about any application need. Available in three models (AXS1500, AXS2000, and AXS3000), and numerous capabilities, the AXS Series offers rugged construction with heavy duty bearings to handle the toughest material and are suited for: large extruder purgings, large reject parts, trim scraps, baled or loose film, synthetic fiber, wood processing scrap, medical waste, cardboard, paper as well as carpet.
Serrated ram plates hold the product into the rotor, making processing large awkward pieces easier. A sturdy “swing-style” ram minimizes space and allows product to fall into the rotor, outboard mounted bearings reduce contamination and features a large 29.5” (750 mm) diameter rotor for positive ingestion. Bolted in cutter seats allow for easy removal and maintenance. The low speed rotor (54 rpm) transmits high cutting torque for tough applications.
Square cutters (60 mm) are reversible for quick changes, abrasion resistant rotor for long life, dual motor driven for even horsepower displacement on both ends of the rotor, and outboard mounted bearings to reduce contamination are additional standard features.
Optional features include: hydraulic screen cradle, rotor cooling, PLC controls with display, chamber wear protection and infeed and discharge conveyors.
In addition to size reduction products, AEC always offers full support from start-up to training to 24-hour on-call service. Further AEC product offerings include material handling, heating and cooling, blend and reclaim, automation, and systems contracting.
