Dear all

Please to answer me. How to decide air volume and coal require in burner for combustion process. I have below inputs which perhabs require. Again this input are subjected to what I have in my basket, kindly let me have your further information if require to panacea the solution.

Input available

At kiln

Dia 3.75m

Heat req 1439KJ/KGCL

In a simple beginning you divide the enthalpy demand by the calorific value of the fuel. That determines your combustible requirement. Then you determine the air mass requirement from the stochiometric ratios, not factors, which you establish from the chemical equation of the combustion reaction. It is simple once you have some idea of the combustible content of your fuel.

Dear sir

Thanx for your concious coverage. You underlined the couple of process to get the air volume. Enthalpy i can calculate, but concerning to stochiometric ratios, that pose me in my calculation. Apparantly i dont know what should be the ration in case of cement. How ever i have below input parameter but how to use the stochiometric ratios to calculate air req that really needs your significant support.

Kiln spec

Dia 3.75

L 57

Fuel petcoke @ cal value 7500 kcal/kg

Heat req 1430kj/kgcl

Well by using these parameter i couldnt so likely to get my answer. Kindly have me your response to panacea the problem

I am a fresh, my major is phy, your data are not complete, I think. but I tell u the way to calculate.

Q burn =Qb, Q air =Qa, Q kiln =Qk, Q object =Qo......

Qb=Qa+Qk+Qo+..... (suppose no waste, no other iterm)

suppose that temperature rise Ta=Tk=To=T

so: M *C value=(Sa*Ma+Sk*Mk+So*Mo)*T

M=(T/C value) * sum(S*M)

and the M is the mass u want.

Dera sir

What do you mean by S in equation . You hav pointed out about object this i presume the prop[erties of material in kiln. Kindly furnish my query if possible
