do a google on "one space".

To my knowledge there is nothing specific to conveyors in 3D.

Depending on it's size your belt conveyor general arrangement will have an awful lot of parts. So you'll need a 3D modeller happy to handle all these parts, and a good top-end PC workstation to run it on, probably running 64 bit operating system. Otherwise you'll spend half the day waiting for things to happen.

Dear Sir,

I don’t have any problem for PC workstation.

Now we are going to convert all our standard drawing in to "Inventor".

And then we will make general arrangement and detail drawing for project execution.

Now I want to ask you "Inventor" is suitable software for belt conveyor drawing preparation?

If there is any other better software for this please tell me.

regards

Rajesh Mane.

Ah, be careful, you are treading on dangerous ground!

The discussion "which is best", Inventor, Solid Works, Solid Edge, Pro/Eng can easily end in a fight!

We use Inventor, but it's all about the ability of the software to handle large numbers of parts and display them smoothly when zooming and rotating the full assembly model.

CatiaV5 has built in conveyor hardware. Nordell has previously adviced that there is a source of models in a Saath Efrican website but it wouldn't give up any secrets to this Sautie. Maybe you'll have more luck. www.ckit.co.za

Catia, once watched a nice demonstration of that, but our pockets weren't deep enough :-(

Rajeshmane,

If i could draw your attention to my thread on Conveyor Design:

https://forum.bulk-online.com/showthread.php?t=15231

I will be using CATIAv5 R18 as the CAD platform for this project. If you googled CATIA or visited the following website: "http://www.concentric.com.au"

You would be able to gain an insight into just how powerful the CATIA platform is for complete Product Lifecycle Management and in your case, Assembly and Detailed Drawing.

Often the software is driven by one's clients' and their preferences. Many clients leads to many softwares. The client is always right.

We use Inventor, and others at the requests of our bosses.
