Involute Toolings offer shaft mounted speed reducers in 10 sizes

from A to S with nominal ratios of 5:1, 13:1 and 20:1

A wide range of final speed ratios may be achieved by use of pulley combinations

The gearbox has been redesigned by changing the tooth design to give higher power to weight ratios for the same size gearbox.

Shaft Mount Taper Clamp Units:

Available to have a keyless gear unit

the taper clamps and support bushes are manufactured in stanless steels to prevent fretting corrosion and easy removal.

Various sizes of bores are available for mounting on different shaft sizes.

Shaft Mounted Screw Conveyor Units:

The gear units for screw conveyors are available with taper roller bearings on the output end to take up axial thrust loads

The gearboxes are available in imperial bores and keyways

CEMA flanges and drive shafts to suit the gearboxes are also

available

Specials:

modifications to customer specifications, higher reduction ratios,

hydraulic motor mounts, higher torque gearboxes can be designed to customer specifications

Some Salient features of the speed reducer are as under:

1) all torque arms/fulcrums are plated to eliminate them being rusted in use.

2) the shaft mounts have labyrinth sealing on the conveyor end and input shaft end so that the oil seal is safe from contamination

3) the front end of the shaft mount has a hub cover to protect the

front oil seal as well as moving part of the gearbox

4) input shaft front bearing is a roller bearing as it takes in more

radial load from the belt pressure

5) breather plugs are extended so that the dust does not clog the

breather hole

6) all oil seals are from taiwan which we import directly

7)our gear units now have higher load capacity as the gears have been redesigned to 25 degree pressure angle

8) All gears are case carburised to a casedepth and ground inhouse

9) All gear units are machined on a CNC machining center so are very accurate in alignment

10)The gearbox is being exported to europe where demands in quality are high
