“Right to the point” means to transport the right raw materials, in the requested quality and quantity to the right value-added process at the right time. This is provided by the innovative AZO process engineering together with state-of-the-art process leading and visualization technology from hsh.

Major Components / Major Quantities

Mostly major components will be delivered in tank trucks and stored in indoor or outdoor silos. The AZO vacuum weighing systems are conveying the components to the value-added process (normally mixing processes) precisely weighed.

Liquid Components

Liquids may also be delivered as major quantities in tank trucks, as medium quantities in containers or as minor quantities in barrels. They will be fed to the value-added process preferably weighed exactly.

Medium Components

Normally medium components will be delivered in bags or big-bags and have to be converted dust-free into the closed system (e. g. indoor silos). Here from the components will be conveyed to the mixing or kneading process by means of vacuum weighing systems precisely weighed.

Minor Components

For these components two systems are available, different types of the AZO COMPONENTER® as well as the AZO DOSINENTER®. Both are enabling to feed minor quantities fully automatic and precisely weighed to the gram into the customer process.

Micro Components

Since the micro components are influencing the formula decisively and an automation is not profitably they are feed to the value-added process operator guided, precisely weighed and documented. After the value-added process like mixing, kneading, stirring the mixtures are conveyed to the packing processes like bag filling, big bag filling or tank truck feeding systems. This conveying is done gently and without segregation by means of feeding systems which are exactly adjusted for the bulk materials.

Process Leading and Visualization Technology

The whole process will be operated, controlled and documented with batch tracing by means of a central process leading and visualization system.

AZO Customer Center

Presentation of Equipment

The absolute highlight of this permanent exhibition is a fully-automated component preparation unit for loading mixers operating for the first time with an AZO COMPONENTER® and AZO DOSINENTER® combined with ShuttleDos®systems.

Meanwhile batch preparation systems have been asked for, which have to prepare up to 20 to 30 BATCHTAINER® per hour, each with up to 10 or more components exactly weighed. In addition risks have to be avoided and minimised, such as the risk of dust when handling the materials. Operator-, and product protection are in the focus; cross-contamination has to be completely eliminated. Human errors, such as interchanging raw materials, must not be happen. Current regulations, in accordance with the new ATEX Directives, have to be adhered to, also in relation to risks to employees. There are also requirements relating to occupational safety, as well as requirements relating to TA air and other legislative regulations.

Conference Rooms

The conference rooms have space for up to 100 people. They are equipped with the latest media technology, with two large-scale 32:9 projectors available, which can be simply operated via scenario programming.

Customer Test Center

The AZO Customer Test Centre carries out up to 250 tests on customers' products every year.

Customers are often present at these tests and see exactly how their bulk goods behave during conveying, screening, removal etc. All performance data are recorded exactly, documented and then placed at customer´s disposal for examination.

Equipment in the Powder/Bulk Laboratory

In addition, all product-relevant data recorded in the bulk goods laboratory and during tests is stored in a bulk goods database, with well over 5000 other bulk goods, and is therefore available for design and product development.

Application:

The visco tester VT 02 is a simple rotation viscometer. It is determining the dynamic viscosity and is applicable for fast testing and comparing measurements of liquids in operation and in the laboratory.

Metering Principle:

A rotating unit driven with constant speed frequency is dipping into the liquid to be measured and the variable resistor is the rate of the liquids viscosity. The viscosity is calibrated for Newtonian substances and is shown on a scale in dPa*s.

Here we mainly concentrate on the pharmaceuticals target group.
