I assume you are grinding cold ash offsite from the boilers.
I have seen a double rotor cage mill used at the ash receiving hopper to knock apart the large clinkers in order to make it possible to pneumatically convey the ash to storage hoppers.
If you need very fine product you are probably looking at something like a ball mill which I am certainly not an expert on. ■

Our company belongs to Shenyang Aircraft Research Institute, majors in manufacturing of fluidized bed opposed jet mill and classifier and ultra-fine packer and processing various kinds of materials. Our equipments can find wide applications in refractory, abrasive, ceramic, industrial chemicals (toner, additive, fluorescent material), medicines, pesticides and food industry etc.
1. Advanced Fluidized Bed Opposed Jet Mills
Dry production of high pure ultra-fines. High throughput capacity: 2~5000 kg/h. High fineness: 5~280 µm. Size reduction of materials to a Moh's hardness of 9.5. Automatic operation, safe and reliable. Good air-tightness, stand wear and tear. Low pollution. Energy savings up to 30~40%.
2. Excellent Performance of FJJ Classifiers
High fineness of classified end products: meet the requirement of W3.5~W63 or F1200~F240/ FEPA. High classifying efficiency. High precision of cut "free from oversize particle". Extremely steep particle size distributions. Low energy consumption. Low space requirement.
3. Automatic Ultra-fine Packer
Low air in the packed materials. High precision of measurement.
Easy operation: controlled by computer system.
4. Multi-functions Classifier
It is able to purify the materials and classify ultra-fine according to the fineness.
5. Sieving & Packing Ultra-fine Product Line
It is able to remove impurity and eliminate oversize particles from semi-finished product accurately. In this way, the specs of your ultra-fine can meet strict requirements of customer.
6. NEW! We can supply ultra-fines of the following (d97=5~280 µm):
Silicon Carbide, Boron Carbide, Corundu, Zircon, Talc, Wollastonite, Feldspar, Dikite, Mica, Brucite, Magnesia, Tourmaline, Pure Quarter, Graphite
