History of Belt Conveyors

Posted in: , on 30. Sep. 2007 - 15:33

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately, the belt conveyor invention is not considered as a wonderful invention, as the plane, car´s, telephone´s and other inventions are.

Belt conveyors are an important piece of the industrial and technological revolution

Without the belt conveyors the industry wouldn´t have its actual production capacities, for example, it would not be possible to generate so much electrical energy using coal as raw material.

So, I am searching about historical references for Belt conveyors.

I think it is also a point of interest for some Belt Conveyor profis.

Belt Regards

You might try reading the link below. Mr. Donnecker outlines, in this thread, a progression of its early history.

He appears to be a avid historian on the subject.

Thank you very much.

It is interesting to see how some usual and basic things requested a lot of effort and time to be developed....for example, the idlers.
