Perforated Plate Vs Wirecloth

Care must be taken when going to a heavier screening media over wirecloth.

Perforated plate will last longer, but will have considerable less OPEN AREA than say wirecloth and your TPH throughput will in fact decrease.

Perf plate may have to be pre-arched before installing to align with the curvature of the support rails. Rubber underneath is still important to keep on......steel on steel will break.

HOLE ALIGNMENT: I like staggered.....vs straight line holes......as it elimates a straight line down the deck length riding on the margins or borders of the perf plate. Especially true if water is also involved......go staggered.

NOTE: you may infact have to increase counterweights on the flywheels if the weight of the perforated steel plate DEADENS the original CIRCLE SIZE that was there with wirecloth.
