hi, i am doing my title tesis, i am a student of master in vibrations. the truth is that i am new wqith the screens, i am studying and tryng to develop a continous monitoring system custom made for them, but first i need to know the machines, its parts, its pieces: type of motors, type of reduction (belt, gears+cardan,..), and so on.

another fundamental thing is to kow the kind of screens that exists, although i am particulary interested in banana style mult slope screens.

if anyone can give me any material or tell me where can i find it (download it) i will be more than gratefull.

Banana Screen Information Request

hello Crimolvic:

go to metso.com > worldwide leaders in crushers and screening process systems.

I am sure those fine folks would be glad to help you out with your thesis. If not, come back and I will put you in direct contact with some of my close METSO contacts.

BANANA multi-slope screen theory:

Segmented modules that indepently vibrate at various slopes.

The concept is steeper declined slope at the feed end of the units to move the INSURGE of new FEED where the bed depth would be the deepest. and then....

Slightly less steep declined segments as you go down, to slow the FPM travel down and allow for screening the fines out and at the end a much lower slope or even a slight incline to finish off the screening when the bed depth is the least problematic.

If you vibrate the modules individually.........you do not have to deal with the large heavy masses of a one drive system trying to throw say.......`15 to 20 tons of steel with screencloth or urethane on it.

HOPE this helps.......there are many concepts of this design out in the field. Usually fairly wide units also......which increases TPH needs substantially which is typically a critical need with big producers.

Hope this is slightly helpful. George Baker Mod.

thank you george. i already sent some e-mails to metso-argentina, but i haven't recieve any answer. tomorrow (monday) i'm going to call to metso-chile, because they does't have a mail adress in the metso webpage to see if they can help me with technical construction aspects of its screens.

if you have any pdf of a dissasembly of a banana screen, it will really helpfull.

Hello Christian: METSO should be able to sent you PDF or autocad GENERAL ARRANGEMENT DRAWINGS on a typical banana screen design.

This is not proprietary in nature.

Let me know how you make out..........Sincerely, George
